Repair of Fenders
Fender repair works carried out at the National Energy Corporation port facility, Point Lisas.
Two decades of work below and above the waterline for oil and gas operators, petrochemical plants, ports and terminals, mobilised from our base in Trinidad and Tobago.
HD Engineering & Construction Limited is a marine engineering, marine construction and commercial diving contractor based in Trinidad and Tobago. For two decades we have engineered, built and dived beneath the platforms, pipelines and ports that keep the region's energy and marine infrastructure running.
Founded in 2006, we work across the full water column, from topside engineering and construction to commercial diving, ROV inspection and subsea asset integrity. Our clients are oil and gas operators, petrochemical plants, EPC contractors, port authorities and terminal operators across Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean, with Guyana a target regional market.
Our regional mobilisation capability means dive teams, ROV systems and marine plant deploy from Trinidad and Tobago to project sites across the Caribbean, working to the standards expected by international operators and EPC contractors. Long-standing alliances with EPC firms in France and the United States support delivery of larger and more complex scopes.
As we enter our next chapter, HD Engineering 2.0 builds on 20 years of experience with a stronger focus on innovation, technology-enabled inspection and future-ready marine engineering.
Three principles that have shaped every project since 2006, and the standard we hold every new engagement to.
Our standard since inception: being the absolute best in our field. It has earned us long-term partner relationships, a client list spanning majors and government, and a reputation we do not take for granted.
Top-tier people solving problems safely and effectively, backed by continuing accreditation and a culture that rewards thinking past the obvious answer.
An "Environment of Active Caring", not a checklist. Rigorous training and a robust HSEQ system, built on the belief that every accident is preventable.
A single marine contractor across the full water column: engineering and construction above the waterline, commercial diving and ROV inspection below it, with EPC and asset-integrity support for oil and gas, petrochemical and port clients, onshore and offshore.
Multidisciplinary engineering support across mechanical, structural, civil, piping, electrical and instrumentation scopes for marine, energy and industrial projects.
Strategic sourcing, vendor coordination, expediting, logistics and supply-chain management for project materials, specialist equipment and marine operations.
Jetty and pier construction, port infrastructure, marine foundations and piling, marine structural repair, and rehabilitation of pipelines, fenders and waterfront infrastructure.
Surface-supplied commercial diving for underwater inspection, maintenance, repair and subsea intervention on piles, pipelines, jetties, marine terminals and subsea structures.
ROV and diver inspection, underwater surveys and asset-condition assessment of pipelines, piles, moorings, jetties and subsea structures, with inspection reporting.
HD delivers EPC and EPCM scopes directly for suitable marine, industrial and maintenance projects, covering engineering, procurement and construction, brownfield modifications, shutdown support, commissioning, project management, and facility and industrial maintenance for oil and gas and petrochemical operators.
Integrated above-water and subsea capability for critical marine, energy and infrastructure assets across the Caribbean.
Surface-supplied commercial diving for underwater inspection, repair, maintenance and subsea intervention on marine and offshore assets. The same dive teams support our marine construction and pile rehabilitation work and carry out subsea and underwater inspection.
Marine construction and structural rehabilitation of jetties, piers and port infrastructure, with marine asset integrity support. Recent examples include pile rehabilitation and cathodic protection at Savonetta Pier and port and jetty projects across the region.
ROV and diver inspection, underwater surveys and asset-condition assessment for subsea and marine infrastructure. Findings feed our asset integrity and pile rehabilitation planning, from pipeline and riser surveys through to preventive maintenance.
20 Years of Experience. Future Ready.
HD Engineering 2.0 combines two decades of marine and industrial experience with new inspection technologies, ROV and subsea inspection capability and data-driven asset intelligence.
As marine and energy infrastructure becomes increasingly complex, we are expanding our capabilities to help operators and infrastructure owners inspect assets more efficiently, identify risks earlier and make better-informed maintenance decisions.
Remote inspection of difficult-to-access subsea assets.
Structured inspection data supporting long-term asset integrity.
Better inspection information for maintenance planning and lifecycle decisions.
Exploring AI-enabled analysis for marine inspection and asset-condition assessment.
A single contractor across the water column, from topside engineering and construction to commercial diving, ROV inspection and asset integrity. This extends to EPC and brownfield maintenance, combining engineering, procurement and construction with shutdown and turnaround support.
Surface-supplied commercial diving, underwater inspection and ROV inspection from a single team, for piles, pipelines, moorings, jetties and offshore structures. The team is available for mobilisation across regional markets, and these capabilities run through our recent marine and subsea projects.

The most recent additions to two decades of marine, subsea and civil works in Trinidad and Tobago, spanning our marine construction, diving and EPC capabilities. A fuller regional project history is set out below.
